The Security Exhibition & Conference 2024 took over the ICC in Darling Harbour Sydney from 21-23 August showcasing the latest in technology and advancements from leading global security brands. With AI again being a focal topic of discussion as it is continues to become regular feature of most new security products and technologies being released.
The Show floor in 2024
The exhibition, along with Integrate, drew over 11,000 attendees across the 3 days. There were visitors from hundreds of different organisations, with an increase in end users attending to see new products firsthand, they were treated to over 200 exhibitors showcasing thousands of different products and launching several new ones that have never seen in Australia. Security Exhibitors represented the whole of the security industry with dynamic products from access control, CCTV, intruder alarms, Biometrics , physical and cyber security and so much more.
With AI now moving to a standard feature with majority the of new technologies implementing AI to help make the user experience better and more efficient. To name a few, Axis Communications displayed their Access Camera Station powered by Axis Cloud Connect, Cerely’s mobile patrol management and Gallagher Security AR perimeter training program. Security ASIAL Conference
Another key feature of the show every year is the Security ASIAL Conference. This integral education program provides the Security industry with place to network and share critical insights that can drive the industry into the future. As security threats evolve and become more complex, the elevated role performed by security professionals is pivotal to the success of any organisation. There was keynotes and panel discussions regarding critical infrastructure security, AI, Cyber Security capabilities, Diversity and Inclusion and organisation security threats. The program was wide ranging and with attendees able to increase their knowledge in all aspects of security from the insights from the expert speakers and panellists.
Security Gala Dinner
On Thursday Night the ICC Parkside Ballroom hosted the Security Gala Dinner. This is a staple on the security industry social calendar as it provides a terrific opportunity to network with new and old connections. With lively entertainment from Joel Ozborn the attendees were treated to a wonderful night with delicious three course meal. Speeches from John Gellel, ASIAL President and Soren Norgaard, Security Event Director, gave insights into the state of the industry and the success of the exhibition and conference has gone this year. Soren awarded the best new product award to Comvision for their innovative Visiotech VS-X2 body worn camera, it represents a significant advancement in safety technology for front-line workers, integrating several innovative features that collectively enhance worker safety and operational efficiency.
