Connect, control and monitor with EOS

Oct 19, 2018 Industry News

The Connect O2 is the first fully wireless home security and automation system that can be installed anywhere in the home, delivering interactive security and home automation in one intuitive package.

All starting from the Helix Hub, the O2 system by EOS allows users to quickly and easily install this wireless system anywhere in the home. The system can control many aspects of the operation of the household including energy usage, lights, heating, locks in addition to home security through a system of wireless sensors available with the package.

EOS Australia’s Norman Wee stated, “At the heart of the system for installer and end user is the app, which allows arming, disarming, configuring of tamper, setting up rules and monitoring system health or the state of multiple client systems.”

“You can see everything in the app – trouble, tamper, whether devices are armed, which devices have low batteries. You can drive lights or create rules to manage automation.”

“When setting up, all sensors have a bar code and serial number – you can enter new devices manually or just bar code scan them and then add and label new zones, setup up active arming, click save. The system refreshes automatically. From an installers point of view, it’s very easy.”

Two -way communication using the app allows the operator to converse with those within the house, whether it be giving commands to the family dog or warning off intruders.

The system integrates Z-Wave technology, providing a similar level of strength and sophistication as the systems used in banks to protect online accounts and user access.
