Networked Audio Protocols and Use Cases
There is no one perfect audio network protocol for every application. The past decade has seen Audinate’s Dante, Avnu Alliance’s Milan, and Audio Engineering Society’s AES67 all rise to maturity – and now, IPMX has entered the field as well, opening new pathways to interoperability. Each of these protocols originated in a different sector of the market, their development informed by different use cases and requirements. In this panel session, experts who have worked with these protocols will discuss their intents, strengths, and technical implementation. We’ll also discuss future outlook, including how companies and organizations can work together to support openness, interoperability, and ultimately network convergence.
