Colin Green

Counter Terrorism And Special Tactics, NSW Police Force

Chief Inspector Colin Green joined the New South Wales Police Force in 1989. Over the past 34 years he has worked at some of the highest risk Police Area Commands in NSW. He worked as the Police Media Manager/Police Spokesperson where he managed the public information for terrorism and emergency management. This included the Lindt Café Siege and incidents and disasters.
He commenced work in the Counter Terrorism and Special Tactics Command in 2016 where he has been responsible for the development and delivery of the NSW Counter Terrorism Exercise Program and Management of the Police Command Cadre training.
In 2018 Chief Inspector Green was appointed as the Manager of the Terrorism Protections Unit. This role includes providing protective security advice on crowded places, NSW critical Infrastructure and Regional Airports to Government, Police, owner/operators and security professionals.
He was the Capability Advisor for the Australian New Zealand Counter Terrorism Committee, Crowded Places Capability for three years.
