Speaker Profile

Having previously worked for a decade at the University of Sydney as an AV system designer, Nathan is driven by an interest in technology's potential to enhance pedagogy and human communication across physical and virtual spaces. His professional career is underpinned by his own experiences as a student of illumination, acoustics and audio technical production.

Nathan's passion for AV design lead him to both volunteer and consult on the AETM Design Guidelines Committee for its Third Edition, as well as present to local and international audiences on how we might reduce our environmental impact in the AV industry.

He has been working as Solutions Architect for the Education sector at Technical Audio Group (TAG) since early 2021, where he works with end users, integrators, consultants and other vendors to support the design and delivery of world-class teaching facilities in Australia's educational institutions.
