Jennifer Stockwell

Telstra

Jen is an award-winning cyber security leader with over 15 years’ global experience. She enjoys working at the intersection of cyber and national security, delivering strategic initiatives that improve cyber resilience at scale, and providing high-quality, nuanced advice to the most senior decision-makers.

She currently leads Telstra’s National Security and Geopolitical Risk capabilities, including the convergence and integration of Protective/Physical Security with Cyber, strategic threat intelligence, and comprehensive engagement across regulatory, policy and operational government agencies.

Jen recently spent a year supporting the Minister for Home Affairs and Cyber Security to develop and deliver Australia’s 2023-2030 Cyber Security Strategy. While in this Senior Adviser role, she also coordinated major incident response and shaped national cyber and technology policy.

One of the greatest achievements in her career has been the development and implementation of Telstra’s Cleaner Pipes initiative, which protects millions of customers every month from scams and cyber threats.

Jen is a member of RMIT’s Industry Advisory Board on Cyber, a former member of the Victorian Government’s Cyber Strategy Expert Advisory Panel and previously served as a Board Director of the Australian Women in Security Network.
