In external atmospheric conditions, a zinc/5% aluminium coating offers from to two four times greater protection per unit coating mass than hot dipped galvanised zinc coatings to suit your project.

In a bid to revitalise Hunter Street, Newcastle and improve links between the City Centre and the Newcastle Waterfront, Newcastle Light Rail including a new interchange at Wickham was developed. Realignment of the rail boundary was required, project wide, and as such new security fencing was to be installed.

Fencing Australia was awarded the security fencing works contract and installed 1690 metres of Securemax 358 Welded Mesh high security fencing along with short barb concertina RazarTape, pedestrian gates and an automated gate. Being near a busy rail line, it was a necessity that the fencing keep the general public away from fast moving trains and also deter vandalism. Another consideration for this project was highly transparent fencing which would allow for clear surveillance from security cameras, and also aesthetic considerations to fit with the new developments surrounding the area.
