Security 2021 Announces ASIAL Security Conference Program

The full program for the 35th annual Australian Security Industry Association (ASIAL) Security Conference has been unveiled with the theme of the conference revealed as ‘Security in Transformation’.

The popular ASIAL conference has sold out four years in a row and this year’s two-day program will be held during the Security Exhibition & Conference at Sydney’s International Convention Centre on July 21 – 23. 

Chief Executive Officer of ASIAL, Bryan de Caires, said the $10 billion private security industry with a national workforce of over 180,000 personnel, performs a critically important role as part of Australia’s national security mix.  

“A strong, innovative and sustainable security industry is vital to the future growth and development of the Australian economy,” said de Caires 

“Drawing on a distinguished panel of industry experts, the 35th annual ASIAL Security Conference provides a timely forum to discuss the security threats and challenges faced, and to explore strategies to mitigate them,” he said. 

Security Exhibition Conference Commercial Manager, Soren Norgaard, said this year’s event will highlight the importance of an innovative, technologically advanced and competitive security industry. 

“It’s never been more important for security professionals to keep in touch with the rapid implementation of technologies such as video analytics, augmented reality, cyber security and robotics,” said Norgaard.

For the first time the Security Exhibition & Conference is co-locating with Integrate Expo, Australia’s premier audio visual and integration exhibition, to offer a myriad of wider opportunities for exhibitors and visitors of both events.  

The exciting co-location includes a new Convergence Conference on July 23 which will discuss common risks, challenges and solutions for both the AV and security sectors. 

Topics will cover emerging technologies plus ethical considerations and innovations that will benefit both industries drive towards a smarter future.  

Headline speakers include scientific futurist, Associate Professor Dr Catherine Ball, and one of the world’s most cited experts on artificial intelligence, digital transformation, ethics in technology and women in leadership, Dr Catriona Wallace.
