Security Exhibition 2014: Day One
For the first time since 2001, the Security Exhibition has returned to Melbourne. Having been held annually for over a decade in the harbour city, the 29th iteration of the event breaks new ground at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Around the show floor there’s many highlights to be seen. More than 160 of the industry’s biggest and very best companies are here showing off the latest innovative products from around the country and abroad. Leading brands exhibiting this year include SCSI, Canon, Bosch, Interlogix, Sony, Honeywell and Hills among many others.
Returning again this year after a successful few years at the last few Sydney shows is the New Product Showcase. The feature brings together ten of the best security products released to market in the last twelve months in one central location. There’s also live demonstrations for each product at various times throughout the three days in the adjacent seminar theatre.
The seminar series is free to attend this year meaning you can drop by and view a presentation without having to pay or booking ahead. Located just near the seminar theatre is the ASIAL Conference; a large white marquee housed within the show floor. View the full ASIAL Conference schedule here.
The back right hand side of the show floor houses three custom built security vehicles that visitors can view and interact with. The biggest being a custom made Hills Airstream aluminium caravan imported from the United States.
Security runs for two more days at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (opposite Crown Casino), open from 9:30 until 5pm on Thursday and 9:30 until 2:30pm on Friday. You can register now online to ensure fast and free entry when you visit.
